Abstract (EN)
In this study, new fuel samples were obtained by blending biodiesel fuels produced from waste sunflower and cotton oils with standard diesel fuel at 5%, 10% and 20% using transesterification reaction. In order to improve the physical and chemical properties of the obtained blends, nanoparticle-containing additives were dosed to B5 (5% Biodiesel + 95% Diesel Fuel) and B10 (10% Biodiesel + 90% Diesel Fuel) fuel samples at the rates of 50 ppm, 75 ppm and 100 ppm. It is aimed to determine the most ideal fuel sample by comparing the combustion characteristics and emission values of the new fuel samples obtained in a diesel engine. In this way, the basis for the use of a new type of fuel that is environmentally friendly, provides more efficient use of existing reserves and relatively prevents foreign dependence will be established in a diesel power plant.
