Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of nanosilicate as an additive on the performance of bitumen and bituminous hot (BSK) mixtures was investigated. For this purpose, modified bitumen was obtained by adding 1%, 3%, 5% and 7% by weight nanosilica to the B 160/220 penetration class. Physical properties of pure and modified bitumen were determined by conventional tests such as penetration, softening point, ductility test, and rheological properties were determined by beam bending rheometer (BBR), rotational viscometer (RV), dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) tests. Mixture samples were prepared using Marshall design method in order to determine the effects of these binders on the performance characteristics of BSK coatings. Marshall stability and yield, permanent Marshall stability, moisture sensitivity, indirect tensile stiffness modulus (ITSM) and static creep tests were performed on these mixture samples. As a result of experimental studies, it was found that bituminous binders harden up to a certain rate with the addition of nanosilica, but then began to soften, and again the temperature sensitivity decreased and then increased. In addition, it has been observed that the stability, moisture damage and the resistance of the wheel tracks have increased.
