Abstract (EN)

In this research, the total amount of phenolic substances were extracted from pomegranate peels by various methanol, ethanol and acetone solvent concentrations and which is named as Folin-Ciocalteau method. In addition to that, the total antioxidant transformation was analyzed with the ABTS method and also well and disc diffusion methods were utilized for determination of antimicrobial activitySecond step, a general phenolic compound screening was carried out with samples set aside to be examined with the HPLC-DAD method. At the end of analysis of HPLC-DAD were detected punicalagin, gallic acid, ellagic acid and quercetin. The richest of phenolic compotent was estimated punicalin in pomegranate peel. While the richest antioxidant activity was detected as 821.7179614mmoltrolox/mg in extract that was obtained with 70% aceton ectract, the lowest effect was observed in the methanol extraction. In consideration of the total phenol effect, the highest effect was observed once again in the 60% acetone extraction as 445.0412 GAEq(mg GA/g sample) which was followed respectively by the ethanol and methanol extractions. In respect to antimicrobial effects, it was clearly seen that the highest effect was in the acetone extraction as well. As a result, generally pomegranate peel ectracts have got highest bioactif property and especially aceton extracts were detected more effect then others.
