Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to map the citrus planted areas and productivity conditions using remote sensing technique and geographic information system. The study area was selected as Zaferler, Toparlar, Döğüşbelen and Hamitköy villagers in Köyceğiz, Muğla province. Remote sensing technology and geographic information system have been utilized in the research. As a first step, Worldview-2 satellite images, which are most suitable in terms of image quality, resolution and pixel, are used for the detection of citrus planted areas. In the preliminary field study, the coordinates of citrus planted areas were determined using Trimble Geoexplorer 2005 series GPS (Global Positioning System). In order to create a 1 / 25.000 scaled numerical map, topographic maps are digitized to make settlements, water channels, roads, items were entered in GeoMedia 6.0 software. Orto-rectified satellite images were cut to cover the study area, and screen digitization was performed in the citrus planted areas. Physical and chemical analyzes were carried out from the soil samples taken from the study area for the purpose of productivity determination. The results are entered into the database of GeoMedia 6.0 software. As a final step, the vectorized citrus fields and the soil analysis results entered into the database were transferred from GeoMedia 6.0 software to ArcGIS 10.3 software. The "Kriging" method of geostatistics analysis method was used in ArcGIS 10.3 software so that the soil analysis reports of citrus fields primarily cover the entire study area in the transferred data. As a result of the study, the productivity status of the citrus fruits was determined by knowing the numerical coverage of the citrus-planted areas and the physical and chemical properties of the soil of the lands in that area.
