Abstract (EN)

İn this study, the works of Necip Fazıl in the genre of poetry have been examined, and how power is addressed in these poems has been revealed. Document analysis and data analysis methods have been employed in conducting this examination. The research consists of three main sections. The first section presents theories of power from Islamic and Western philosophies. The legitimization of power within the state, its reflection in literature, and consequently the concept of canon are discussed in the second section. In this section, canon is conceptually elucidated, and canonical texts and authors are exemplified. The final section of the thesis examines the poems found in Necip Fazıl's books "Çile" and "Öfke" and his satire. Considering Necip Fazıl's ideological and poetic evolution, a comprehensive examination of all his poems has been conducted. The poet's stance against power in these poems is analyzed, and this stance is attempted to be explained with the theories presented in the first section. The study concludes by elucidating Necip Fazıl's stance against power through historical realities.
