Many factors, such as its location, underground and aboveground sources, suitable geography and suitable climate, made the settling easy in Anatolia In the geography of Anatolia the most important region of the Neolithic Period is definitely the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Therefore the Neolithic centers of the Southeastern Anatolia Region are very important. In this study we will try to examine the important Neolithic period settlements of Southeastern Anatolia Region which are located in the cities of Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Batman, Adıyaman, Siirt and mostly in Şanlıurfa. The Southeastern Anatolia Region, in which we can find all the features of the period, has provided very important materials to the sciences of the history and the archeology by the excavations and surface explorations. Some places, which were found in the area, were excavated; some were just superficially explored during the Saving Excavations of G.A.P Project and Ilısu Dam. The Neolithic Period is one of the important eras in which mankind showed development. For this reason, The Southeastern Anatolia Region is similarly a very important region in Anatolia.
