Nesâî and his commentary method

Nesai, lived in the third century AH, is one of the century's leading scholars. He hasan exemplary personality and scientific know ledge, and is the author of important works. His workin hadith was included in Kutub-i Sitte books. In addition to the science of hadith, he is known to have a say in the other Islamic sciences, such as fiqh and tafsir.This study entitled "Nesâî and His Commentary Method? aims to reveal Nesâî's method of description of the Holy Quran. This thes is consists of three main sections. The first section of this thesis is allocated to Nesâî's scientific personality. In this section, political, scientific and cultural status of the century in which he lived has been revealed and information is provided about this life, family, teachers, personality and scientific works.In the second section, the work of Nesâî in tafsir was discussed in terms of content and method. Nesâî sesnarrative method in his interpretation and reflectshis identity of the traditionistin his tafsir.The third section has been devoted to the analysis of Nesâî's tafsir in terms of religious sciences. Here his work was analyzed in terms of fadaelu'l-Qur'an, language and vocabulary, Makki and Madani, sabab en-nuzul, naseh and mensuh and the information of the past. Also in this section, his interpretation of the verses is givenin terms of theological, legal and moral judgments.In the conclusion, however, a short assessment of the sethree sections and results achieved are described.Keywords: Nesâî, Qur?an, Commentary.
