Abstract (EN)

Smart homes, an important component of the Internet of Things (IoT), effectively serve users by communicating with various digital devices based on IoT. Smart home technology based on IoT has changed human life by providing connection to everyone regardless of time and place. However, due to some difficulties such as privacy, security and price, smart home technologies have problems in consumer adoption. In the study, it was aimed to develop a model for the acceptance of smart home systems in Turkey, and in line with the results, it was aimed to determine which factors affect a consumer's intention to buy a smart home systems. In this context, a research model has been designed for residential products with the help of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). In the research model, it was investigated how perceived psychological factors (perceived ease of use, perceived intelligence, perceived suitability, perceived price and perceived privacy risk) have an effect on the purpose and behavior of IOT systems through perceived utility. In addition, the relationship between sensory and emotional experiences of consumers, psychological perception factors and perceived usefulness was tested. Based on a questionnaire test with 430 consumers, this study was analyzed using the partial least squares technique to test the research model.
