Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research; examination of thestories in the book called " Yandırma" written by Nezihe Meriç who is the one of the most outstanding female writers in Turkish Literature. As is known the fields of research in grammar are phonics, morphology, syntax and semanties. The comtent of this study is a syntax research. During this study, the tories in Nezihe Meriç's book Yandırma are classified according to word groups first and latter sentential; and revealed with numeric datum. Many things that an indivudual put forth with his human identity are nothing more than a syntax. Several things that an indivudual speaks are fittedin the rules of syntax which articulate the social side of language. Thus a sentence appropriate to grammar is formed. Actually thinking, affectivity, dealing with visual arts and everything that an individual produces about his self-being is a syntax. Words form a collocation with other words with or without paragage to create a new meaning. As a matter of fact it can be said that the entire linguistic performance or syntax is an explanation, assertion, disambiguation or emphasizing an event or entity. Syntax studies are mostly carried out in two steps. First one, word groups, is to indicate a Notion that can not be articulated in one word, form a wholeness in terms of structure, consisting of at least two words. These are noun and adjective clauses, verbal adjective, verbal noun, verbal adverb groups, repetition, preposition, conjunction, title, compound noun, exclamation, number groups, compound werb groups and abbreviation groups. Second one is sentential which is to determine the structural and semantic features of a sentence. In this study, all these grammar samples are determined and exemplified via survey model. During this study, seven stories in the book are scamed and classified according to their word groups and structural and semantic features of sentences. Word groups and sentences are statistically valued in numbers. According to the semantics it is determined that 2156 sentences are positive, 272 negative and 192 are interrogative sentences. This shows that there is considerable motion in the stories. In terms of the places of werbs in sentences, it is seen that there are 1972 regular and 679 inverted sentences. And 116 sentences are conjucted by prepositions. 14 of these sentences are conjucted by "that" , 3 of them are conjucted by "and" and 99 of them are conjucted by other prepositions. 145 sentences are conjucted by common sentence items and 12 of them have common verbs, 110 of them with common subjects, 12 of them with common objects. The sentences are also cateorized accordin to the items in their structures.
