Abstract (EN)

Although NHC complexes have been investigated for over 40 years, they developed in resent years. İmportant species of N-Heterocyclic Complexes are, they are very stable, economic, and they show wide application area in homogene catalytic reactions. The firs stable was developed by Wanzlick and co-worker in 1960. After this synthesis Wanzlick and Ofele synthesized the NHC ligands which were coordinate with transition metals. Despite Ni-NHC complexes were relatively less studied, in comparision Pd, Ru, Rh NHC complexes, because of their economical position, relatively they have easy avalibility and they are environmentally friend metal , they show wide development for last decade in this area. After Ziegler ve Holzkamp's investigatiation Ni-complexes, Ni's effect was show increase. But the first studt of Ni (0) complexes were phospine complexes which were synthesis alkenes like [Ni(cod)2] and [Ni(C2H4)3]. In this thesis, first of all some N-Heteocyclic Carben precursors which have a functional group were synthesized and than they were reacting with palladium and nickel compounds to obtained new NHC complexes and with these complexes we examined to catalytic activity in some catalytic reaction which called C-C, C-hetero atom bond forming. Synthesized all Carben precursors and complexes were analyzed with 1H NMR, 13C NMR and some micro-analyze tecniques. The result of this study could be summarized in five sections. 1) New N-substitue benzimidazole salts were synthesis (1a-1l) and structural investigation have been analyzed with several spectroscopic techniques. 2) New Pd-PEPPSI type N-Heterocyclic Carbene complexes (2a-2l) have been synthesized in pyridine with PdCl2 and N-Subsitue benzimidazole salts. Structural investigation have been analyzed with several spectroscopic techniques. 3) New Ni-NHC complexes (3a-3l) have been synthesized with Ni(Cp)2 and N-Subsitue benzimidazole salts. Structural investigation have been analyzed with several spectroscopic techniques. 4) Pd-NHC complexes (2a-2l) have been tested for Suzuki-Miyaura ve Heck Coupling Reaction and the catalytic activities were investigated. 5) Ni-NHC complexes (3a-3l) have been tested for Suzuki-Miyaura Coupling Reaction, Kumada–Tamao–Corriu Coupling Reaction, and Borilation Reaction and their catalytic activities were investigated. KEY WORDS: N-heterocyclic carbene, carbene, Suzuki-Miyaura, Heck, Kumada–Tamao–Corriu Coupling Reaction and Borilation Reaction
