Abstract (EN)

In this study, seven coordination compounds were synthesized using niflumic acid ligand in non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs group and picoline derivatives (2-picoline, 3-picoline and 4-picoline). The structures of the synthesized complexes were determined by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TG / DTG and DTA techniques and anticancinogenic activities examined. [Cu2CI2(nif)2(3-pic)4] complex was obtained as a single crystal and its structure was determined by X-rays single crystal method. [Co(nif)2(met)(2-pic)], [Co(nif)2(met)(3-pic)], [Co(nif)2(met)(4-pic)], [Ni(nif)2(met)(2-pic)], [Ni(nif)2(met)(3-pic)], [Ni(nif)2(met)(4-pic)] and [Cu2CI2(nif)2(3-pic)4] complexes have got an octahedral arrangement around the metal ion. The niflumic acid ligand act as a bidentate ligand and is coordinated via the carboxyl group oxygen atoms to the metal ion. The FT-IR spectra have information on the binding mode of the carboxyl group.In this study, ∆ν{υasym(COO-) and υsym(COO-)} value was determined as 175 cm-1 and as a result it was suggested that niflumic acid was coordinated to the metal ion as a bidentate mode. The FT-IR spectra of complexes suggest the presence of methanol due to the extent of the functional group. According to the thermal analysis data, the complexes are stable up to 140 oC.The complexes showed high selectivity antiproliferative activity against HT-29, HepG2, MCF-7 cell line. 2019, 71 Pages Keywords:Cobalt, Copper, Nickel, Niflumic acid, Picoline derivatives
