Turkish modernization in Nilufer Göle as a possibility of "non-Western modernity"

The consept analysis of social scientists are known theoretical works. The side of modernization takes part in the subjects that are disputed for long years. This work handle with "Non-Western modernity" the most important concept of it in reading Turkish modernization by focusing on the deepening of the opportunities of the concepts of Nilüfer Göle. According to methodlogy, this work has been tried to read by the expression analysis on the concepts of Göle, the written works and the conversations of the author. The research is made up by four parts. By taking the concepts of the author in the context of the interaction between them, into research the mentioned critical reading focuses on the problematical points of the concepts. The "critical" analysis of Göle's conceptual map have been intended to be established in the frame at the nature; possibilities and limitations of the concepts. In order to analyze "difference" and "approaches to difference" which appears as the possibility and crisis of Göle's conceptual map, the reflection of concepts in Turkish modernization history has been tiried to indicate. Therefore, it has been tried to decide the state of the author's paradigmal level in Turkish society period. The possibilities of Göle's concepts of map are deepened in context of the bridge between tradition-modernity and the other. It is thought that it is neccessary to deepen the analysis of the construction of the other by the way of different conceptual framework to break the perception of "world without other" that can be articulated as marginalizing other differences, claiming himself as the representative of the whole culture.
