Abstract (EN)

In this master's thesis study, a new metal oxide compound (CsSbO3), which falls into the category of Cs-Sb based and perovskite structured compounds that have become quite popular in recent years, was synthesized and characterized using structural/morphological techniques. Subsequently, the performance of these compounds in the catalytic hydrogenation of aromatic nitrophenol compounds such as 2-nitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol, and 2,4,6-trinitrophenol to aminophenols in aqueous media in the presence of NaBH4 was investigated. The prepared CsSbO3 particles were characterized using techniques such as XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), XPS (X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy), TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy), HR-TEM (High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), and SEM-Elemental Mapping. The catalytic hydrogenation reactions of nitrophenols to aminophenols were monitored under room conditions using a UV-vis 3600 spectrophotometer. After examining the reusability performance of the prepared CsSbO3 particles in the catalytic hydrogenation reactions of nitrophenols to aminophenols, catalytic reactions were conducted at different temperatures to calculate the activation parameters (Ea: Activation Energy; ΔH*: Activation Enthalpy; ΔS*: Activation Entropy) for each nitrophenol derivative.
