Özet (EN)

The participants of this study were 99 patients who applied to the Unit of Division of Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, Cukurova University and who were diagnosed as NHL during March 2006 and March 2008. The patients were divided into three groups; newly diagnosed, relapsed and control. The treatment responses of international Prognostic index and other potential factors, Acute Phase Reactants and the cell surface reseptors in these patients were examined. The mean age of the 78 patients who were newly diagnosed was 56.1±17.4 and the patients the mean age of the 21 patients with relapse was 46.6±12.8. Of the 78 newly diagnosed, 37 (% 47.4), of the 21 relapsed, 6 (% 28.6) and 19 of the 36 in the control group were female. During the study lasted two years, CD4, CD8, CD20, CD25. CD56 were determined through the Flow cytometry method ( the device, Facs Calibur-Roche).The findings revealed that the higher the score of IPI was, the less the treatment response was. The good ECOG performances in the patients with IPI I = 40 (100 %), IPI II = 23(% 74.2), IPI III 4 (% 18.2) and IPI IV = 0 respectively, and the poor ones were in the patients with IPI I = 0, II = 8 (% 25.8), III = 18 (% 81.8), IV = 6(% 100). In the cross comparision of the CD20 in the newly diagnosed and relapsed groups, it was determined that the mean of Difuze Large B Cell Lenfoma was 10.84±9.7, median 9.45 (0.1/29.9) before treatment, whereas it decreased to 6.41±8.44, median 2.73(0/32.1), (p=0.037) after treatment.CD56, on the other hand, significantly rised in the newly diagnosed patients after chemotherapy as compared to before chemotherapy (p=0.044). It was determined that the CD56 scores before treatment in those who responded treatment were higher than those who did not(p=0.066). In addition, the level of CD8 in the patients who responded to the treatment were higher as compared to those of not responded (p=0.046). It was also observed in the newly diagnosed group that the level of ferritin in the patients who responded the treatment was lower than those who did not responded. (p=0.020).The findings suggest the level of CD20 be used as an additional parameter during the the reponse period in the patient with B cell NHL and taking chemotherapy. The findings also suggest that the level of CD8 be considered in the relapse-free-survival. In addition, the low the level of ferritin, one of the Acute Phase reactant, the more effective the treatment is. In conclusion, it is vital that in the response of treatment the above mentioned factors not be merely concerned rather together with the other prognostic ones.Key Words: Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Akut Phase Reactants, cell surface receptors, International Prognastic Index.
