Abstract (EN)

In 1826 II. Mahmud abolished the janissary organization. To serve the same purpose as the organization Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye was established. Census was held to determine the capacity of nation to supply soleliers to the newly established organization. census also included Tokat, one of important cities of the ottoman empire, and Komanat region belonging to Tokat. The data from the census was noted. The notes can be found in the ottoman arehive of the presidency palace. In this rescareh census notebooks with numbers 2285, 2371, 2374 and 2452 are taken as reference to reveal the demographics of the Komanat region of tokat. in the research the number qualities, and various properties of muslims between 1246 and 1256 and that of non-muslims between 1254 and 1256 was compiled. In the notebooks ages, names, appearanees, of people and their distribution to age groups numbers of those who can enroll as soldiers and population movements are studied.
