Business intelligence application in sample production workshop

Today, making complex data meaningful and turning it into information that is applicable to business, as well as the ability to make the demanded analysis shortens decision making process and reduces the risks. Business Intelligence covers all these competencies. With Business Intelligence applications, analysis and/or reports can be created easily by processing data in the demanded type without losing time. Business Intelligence applications give businesses tremendous efficiency in reporting and analysis. When using Business Intelligence applications, with real-time data and instant preparation of reports, the analysis also results in much better results. In this study, A Business Intelligence application was carried out through Microsoft Power BI to monitor and report the Sample Production processes of a company working in the Automotive Supply Industry field. The purpose of the study is to minimize loss of time and labor in; order and process tracking, reporting, analysis and filtering processes carried out in the company and increase the efficiency in these processes. Firstly, a detailed literature review was carried out in order to examine similar studies on the subject of the study. Afterwards, as a result of the evaluations made by comparing the Business Intelligence tools used/usable throughout the company, Power BI was selected. Within the scope of the study, firstly, demo studies were conducted for the processes within the scope of the application, and interim evaluations were made, and then improvements were made in comply with the feedback of the company officials. After all the studies are done that is related with the processes, the improvement levels in the processes were measured and evaluated. As a result, significant increases in efficiency were observed in monitoring and reporting of processes within the scope of implementation.
