Religious and moral education at Nurettin Topçu

This study aims to reveal the thoughts of Nurettin Topçu, who is one of the most important intellectuals of Turkey in recent times, generally in education and specifically in religious and moral education area. In order to achieve objectives, after determining the definitions and frameworks of religion, morality and education, Nurettin Topçu's ideas about them were particularly interpreted by describing what he understands from mentioned terms. As discussing Topçu's thoughts on religious and moral education, we choose to take his book "Turkey's Education Case" as the axis. We try to explain the meanings that he attributed to notions such as religion, morality, education, teacher and school with the opinions we gathered from his other works and various writings by taking his book that is a summary of Topçu's thoughts on education as a starting point.
