Education in Nurettin Topçu's thought

This study aims to examine the criticism by Nurettin Topçu, who lived in the 20th century and made important contributions to the Turkish world of thought with his ideas, to the Thought of Education in Republic Period. The founding members of the new state, the Republic of Turkey built as a result of the Ottoman Empire's end undoubtedly have drawn a new path and developed a philosophy in this manner. Like every institution of the state, education has been put in a new direction at this point. Some of the consequences of this direction disturbed Nurettin Topçu and he, therefore, tried to express his own truths in this regard. His main cause was on issues such as the depressions of youth, moral collapse, deviation from the real purpose, an educational mentality that is incomplete in spirit and meaning, pragmatism and the placement of the technique in the main body in education and the mission of the school and teacher. Türkiye'nin Maarif Davası edited by İsmail Kara and Ezel Erverdi from Topçu's writings published in various newspapers and journals will be our main source.
