A review of Nursel Duruel's life, art and works

This study covers the effort to make sense of the life, poetics and fictional works of Nursel Duruel, who has brought biographical and anthological works, especially story books, to our literature and enriched the field of literature with her interviews with important names of the literary world. The fact that the author's life, art and works have not been dealt with in a holistic study before, has prepared the ground for such a study. In the "LIFE" section, which we prepared based on the interviews with Duruel (including the interviews we had with him), we tried to explain the author's birth, family, childhood, professional life, poetic views that constitute the universe of the story. We have included the works that Duruel brought to our literature in this section. In the first part of the section titled "STRUCTURE and PATTERN", there are classifications about how the author shaped the places, people and time he chose while constructing the story universe; In the second part, there are the themes in Duruel's stories. Especially in the theme part, we tried to make sense of the psychological and sociological background of the stories with interdisciplinary readings. In the section titled "LANGUAGE and STYLE", we tried to convey the narrative techniques and vocabulary used by the author while describing the modern world and the efforts of people in this world to hold on to life and their attitudes towards life in a fictional way. In the last part of the study, the author's interviews with the author, his own writings, symposiums organized for Duruel, etc. we've included a bibliography that we're trying to put together.
