Obama periad Turkish American relations (Form allies to conflicts )

The political developments during the presidential period of Barack Hussein Obama caused the bilateral relationships between Turkey and the USA to evolve into a conflict rather than an alliance because of the changing balance of power between the countries around the world in the 20th and 21st centuries. Different points of view about civil commotion that started in the Middle East and different approaches caused the relationship between the allies to tense. Israel's turning a blind eye to the rights of the Turkish side given by the international laws in the event of Mavi Marmara and acquiescene of Barack Obama against to htis attitude brougnt the idea that Israel is more impartant for the USA. Turkey made an effort to prevent a possible war by the Agreement of Tehran, as a part of Nuclear Negotiations between Turkey and Iran. The USA followed a series of inconsistent policies during the Arab Spring broke out in Syria. As a result of these policies, the ISIS emerged in Iraq and Syria. This terrorist organization affected Turkey deeply both economically and socially. Withpublic of Syria escaping from the Civil war taking refugee to Turkey, refuge guestion came in to existence. The reasons of this refugee guestion are handled in this thesis. The USA didn't respond to the leader of Syria, Bashar al-Assad and by hte terrorist organizations such as PYD, millitary arm of PKK, Syrian goverment has been tried to eliminate. Thus, the possibility of usage of the weapons given to these terrorist organizations against Turkey is discoursed. It is also examined in this thesis wheter the Euphrates Shield Oparation, conduc ted by Turkey, to mainland Syria in the hand of ISIS is enough or not. Because of Caup Attempt of July The 15 th and the leader of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) residing in the USA and protected by the USA Intelligence Service, ıt is researched whether the USA back this cavp attempt up or not. The leadership of Fetullah Terrorist Organization has not been sent back te Turkey by the USA and besides, the doubt of the citizens helping people, residing in Turkey, who took role in coup attempt, the reasons of his getting arrested has been researced.
