Abstract (EN)
This study's aim is to reveal the eddect of attachment styles on life satisfaction and eating attitude for obese individuals. Besides, the effects of variables such as individuals' ages, marital status, education level, body mass indexes on attachment styles, life satisfaction and eating attitude are examined. 400 obese individuals who seek for private hospitals' nutrition or dietary polyclinic in Bursa, over 20 years old and have body mass index over 30 are participated to the research. Also, according to identify socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, personal information form is made by researcher. When the socio-demographic characteristics analyzed, it is found out that women have higher life satisfaction levels than men; as individuals' age increase, their life satisfaction levels decrease; as individuals' body mass indexes increase, their secure attachment levels and life satisfaction levels decrease; as individuals' body mass indexes increase, their eating attitude levels increase too. There was no meaningful results for socio-demographic features that take a part in the research, such as individuals' marital status, children number, education level, job or parents' education levels. In addition, it is seen that individuals' secure attachment levels decrease their eating attitude levels, individuals' fearful attachment level increase their eating attitude level and individuals' secure attachment level increase their life satisfaction level. In the discussion section that is at the end of the research, suggestions for researchers, psychological counselors working on this field and nutrition dietary experts had been proposed on research findings.
