Abstract (EN)
This present study study aims to investigate the roles of communication skills and emotional intelligence in anger management, with a particular focus on examining whether the state of anger functions as a mediating variable in these relationships. Conducted among professionals employed in healthcare institutions, the research employed a range of statistical techniques including independent samples t-test, ANOVA, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicate that both communication skills and emotional intelligence are positively and significantly associated with anger management. However, contrary to expectations, the state of anger did not demonstrate a statistically significant mediating effect on the relationship between communication skills and anger management, nor between emotional intelligence and anger management. Furthermore, the state of anger was not found to exert a significant direct effect on anger management. Demographic variables were also found to have no significant influence on emotional intelligence, communication skills, anger state, or anger management. These findings underscore the critical role of communication skills and emotional intelligence in effective anger regulation among healthcare professionals, while also suggesting that transient emotional states such as anger may not sufficiently mediate or predict anger management capacities in this context.
