Research on the violoncello partitures of the works which were performed by the student orchestra according to the variations that take place in the Otokar Sevcik Op. 2, 5. study

This research has been done by the purpose of comparing the violoncello partiturs according to the bow techniques that belong to the works performed by the GUGEF Music Education Departure's student orchestra in the years 2001 and 2002 with the variations that is placed in the study of O. Sevcik op. 2 No:5 and to concrete the relationship between them according to the motional behaviors. In the research, the sub problems just as the orchestra/chamber music lesson's activities; the determination of the repertoire of the license orchestra which is formed due to that lesson; the investigation of the violoncello partiturs according to the righthand techniques and the motional behaviors which are necessary to perform these parts are examined. The research is a descriptive study by its aim and by the quality of the datathat is observed and gathered for that aim.In the research by the method of study analyze, the content analyze of O. Sevcik's op 2, 5. study has been done. The 260 variations, which are placed in the study, motional behaviors are determined and concreted according to the modern education programme. The priority target behaviors of the study are classified by the relative variations as well as subjects and expressed as the study types. However, in the research, the works that are performed by the student orchestra of GUGEF Music Education Departure in the years 2001 and 2002 are fixed and the 28 works, whose violoncello partiturs are reached, are compared with the fifth study variations which have some similar properties according to their bow techniques.In the 28 works, which are researched according to the bow techniques, different bow techniques and right-hand behaviors are determined. The bow techniques in the works are presented as a table according to the number of measures. To sum up, in the GUGEF Music Education Departure all of the basic bow techniques in the violoncello of the works, that are performed by third and fourth-class students' student orchestra which has been formed according to the educational activities of orchestra/ chamber music lesson, are determined. The level that the violoncello students must be according to the bow techniques is concreted by considering the repertoire of 2001 and 2002. It is thought that the similarities, that are fixed according to the motional behaviors, between the violoncello partiturs andO Sevcik's 5. study variations and the wideness of the function area of the study is concreted.
