In this study, we aimed to research whether students in fifth grade students in primary schools participation level of classroom activities and classroom atmosphere is affected by the students sex, general achievement, number of students and the socio-economic level of the school environment. We also tried to find out whether there is a meaningful relationship between students? participation level of classroom activities and classroom atmosphere.The subject of the study consisted of 500 randomly selected students at fifth grade in primary schools in the area of Adana mainly Seyhan and Yüreğir. The data collection instruments used in the study were ?Activity In Class Scale For Children? developed by Başal (2001) and ``Classroom Atmosphere? developed by Şendur (1999). In addition, a questionnaire was prepared and used by the researcher to elicit information about the participant students? sex, general achievement, number of students and the socio-economic level of the school environment.In this study, we found out that there is a meaningful relationship between students? participation level of classroom activities and classroom atmosphere.Key Words: Activity Level in the Class, Classroom Atmosphere, Activity.
