According to the views of the instructor, Presidency of Religious Affairs educational game applications in teaching the Quran courses for ages 4-6

This research was carried out in order to determine the educational games used in the teaching of the Qur'an in the 4-6 year old Qur'an courses affiliated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs and to evaluate the implementation processes. It is aimed to make the teaching of the Qur'an both permanent and enjoyable by using the teaching method with educational games. It is the duty of the Presidency of Religious Affairs to plan and implement non-formal religious education services in our country. DIB, which provides religious education services at different age levels, could not organize educational activities for pre-school children until 2011 due to the age limit. With the abolition of the age limit after 2011, 4-6 age group Qur'an courses were opened for the pre-school period. Teaching the Quran for preschool children is a very difficult process. Children who have not yet reached the stage to understand abstract concepts have difficulty in making progress in the Qur'an with traditional methods. For this reason, teaching methods that keep their attention more active and that they can be willingly involved in the teaching process should be preferred. Considering the target audience, the most effective of these methods is the game. Because one of the primary needs of preschool children is play. With play, the child will learn enthusiastically, having fun and actively participating in teaching. In our study, it is aimed to transform the teaching of the Qur'an into an entertaining teaching process for children by reducing them to the level of children with educational games. Our research consists of 3 parts. In the introduction part, information about the problem, purpose and importance of the thesis, its limitations and the method of the research are given. In the second part, the concept of the game and the application stages of the game, the characteristics of pre-school religious development, religious education and the 4-6 year old Qur'an Courses of the Presidency of Religious Affairs are discussed in all aspects. In the third part of the research, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 teachers working in Malatya Central Districts and it was tried to determine to what extent the teachers included educational game applications in the teaching of the Qur'an by using the MAXQDA analysis program. In addition, the findings obtained at the end of the interviews and the suggestions developed according to these findings are included.
