A fuzzy set-based web encyclopedia application for instructional design issues and usability of application

Instructional design is an important field for educational sciences in general. This importance stems from seeking answer for "How it is taught better?? question of instructional design field. Because instructional design field aim at devising a systematic way for how can teaching be performed in a more effective way. In line these systematizing purposes, teaching approaches, theories, models, strategies, methods and techniques have emerged. These emerged concepts have their own different sub-concepts according to learner?s characteristics. For example, behavioral approach, cognitive approach and the constructivist approach types come under the concept of approach. Various learning and teaching theories appear as a sub-concept classified under these approaches. These terms and conditions, for most of the time, are confused with each other or used interchangeably. In addition, there is a clear distinction given about under which concepts some substances are located. This case adversely affects ability to distinguish concepts and materials undergraduate or graduate students who try to learn instructional design.The purpose of this study is to develop fuzzy set based web encyclopedia and to test usability of this application which aims to minimize complexity between concepts and materials mentioned above. The developed application is started to be broadcasted on internet with the address of with the address of www.otku.organd data entry is started as user-controlled. Performed usability study contains effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction components and finally, a high availability was obtained.
