Relationship between humour style and time management abilities with the self-employability and responsibility capability of teacher candidates

This study aims to investigate relationship between humour style and time management abilities with the self-employability and responsibility capability of teacher candidates. Research was conducted on the 504 senior students studying at the different departments of the Education Faculty of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. The Self-Employability and Responsibility Capability Scale developed by Sıvacı and Kuzu (2017), the Humour Style Scale developed by Martin et al. (2003) and translated to Turkish by Yerlikaya (2003) and Time Management Scale developed by Britton and Tesser (1991) and applied by Alay and Koçak (2002) in Turkey were used. The data obtained was analysed using SPSS 24 and Cronbach Alpha reliability value was found as .792. In consequence of statistical analysis, while the levels of self-employability and responsibility capability of teacher candidates showed a statiscally significant differance in terms of gender, it was not found a significant difference in terms of age, department, department satisfaction and academic achievement. In terms of relationship between scales used, it was found that the levels of self-employability and responsibility capability of teacher candidates have not been correlated with their humour style whereas have a moderately positive and statistically significant correlation at high level.
