Abstract (EN)
Changes and developments in technology, as they affect all areas of society, have also affected the education system. One of the greatest innovations that the technology provides for education system is the e-learning system. E-learning systems are increasingly developing and expanding. One of the most important elements of e-learning is the e- content development. E- content, is the course content developed in accordance with instructional design on electronic media. FATİH Project (Turkish abbreviation: Increasing Opportunities and Improving Technology Action) was released to the public in 2010, in order to ensure equality of opportunity in education and effective use of information technologies in education system. There are five main components of FATİH Project. One of the most important components in achieving success in the Project is the e-content development component. The purpose of this study is to assess the pre-service teachers' e-content developing skills within the frame of FATİH Project. For this purpose, researchers have developed the E- content Development Skills Scale consisting of 48 articles by taking advantage of e-content evaluation criteria determined by MEB (Ministry of National Education). The developed scale was applied to 602 pre-service teachers studying in the Faculty of Education in Fırat University. But, as there were incomplete and inaccurate data entries, we conducted our analyses through 588 data by sieving 14 data. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analysed by SPSS 21.0 software for data analysis. According to the results in the research, The pre-service teachers ofFaculty of Education answered as 'Partially Agree' to the technical criteria of e- Content Development Skills Scale. These are: Animation Criteria, Video Criteria, Graphics and Photography Criteria The pre-service teachers answered as 'Agree' to Measurement and Evaluation Criteria, Audio Criteria, and Pedagogic and Schematic Criteria which are sub-components of E- Content Development Skills Scale, According to the analysis results, As all sub-components existing in the scale were significant differences in favour of BÖTE Department (Turkish abbreviation: Department of Computer and Instructional Technology Education), Pedagogic and Schematic Criteria, Video Criteria, Audio Criteria were significant differences for those taking the Instructional Technologies and Material Design Course. In the results of the analysis according to gender, there were significant differences for Technical Criteria, Animation Criteria, Video Criteria, Measurement and Evaluation Criteria, Graphics and Photography Criteria according to the gender. And these significant differences are in favour of male pre-service teachers. In addition, e-content development skills do not differ significantly according to the variable -graduated high school type-.
