Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between preservice teachers' confidence in self efficiency and their attitudes toward teaching profession. This research is done in springterm of 2014-2015 academic year and consists of 193 volunteering prospective teachers who are senior students of Physical Education Teaching Department in Kastamonu Üniversity, Bülent Ecevit Üniversity, Karabük Üniversity, Abant Izzet Baysal Üniversity and Bartın Üniversity. İn this research, Teachers' confidence Self-Efficacyscale developed by Tschannen-Moranand Woolfolk Hoy (2001) and Attitude Toward Teaching Profession scaledeveloped by Ünver, Bümen and Başbay (2008), areusedas tools for collecting data. During the process of analyses of data, descriptive analysis, percentage and frequency values, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficienttest and Manova test were utilized. At the end of this research, it is shown that prospective teachers' genders, their activities in sports, parents' level of education, university and academic environment are not significantlyrelated with theirlevel of confidence in self efficacyandattitude toward teaching profession. Results of this research also state that there is a meaningfuland medium-level relationship(r=.393,p<0.05). between the prospective teachers'confidence in self-efficacy and their attitude toward the profession.
