The assesment of national qualifications of candidate teachers for higher education in Turkey

This work aims to assess the relevant research on the National Quatifications Framework for Higher Education of Candidate Teachers who studies in Ahi Evran University where placed in Kırşehir, Turkey. Towards the aim, the quatification of senior students of Education Faculty in Ahi Evran Universty are analysed through gender, type of the high school they are graduated, the area of graduation from high school, the department in the university, satisfaction of the department and academic achievements. Target population of this research is composed of 365 senior students of Education Faculty in Ahi Evran University, Kırşehir. In this research, "Scale for Quatifications of Candidate Teachers" based on the National Qualifications Framework of Candidate Teachers For Higher Education and "Form for Personal Data" which are prepared by the researcher are used to collect the data. SPSS 21.0 software is used to analyze the data of the research. Moreover the confidence level is 95% and the data for the research is tested by Correlation Analysis, Resression Analysis, t test and ANOVA. As a result of this research, there is no statistically significant difference in gender, the type of high school they are graduated and the area of graduation from high school when examined the qualifications of the candidate teachers who are senior students of the Department of Education in Ahi Evran University. However, there is statistically significant difference in the department in the university, satisfaction of the department and academic achievements when examined the qualifications of the candidate teachers who are the senior students of the Department of Education in Ahi Evran University.
