The opinions of pre-service teacher about sufficiency of practice teaching (Aydın sample)

This research was made to identify opinions of Adnan Menderes University Elementary Education Department seniors and teachers working in primary education institutions of Ministry of ducation about sufficiency areas of Practice Teaching. Study group of the research is comprised of seniors from Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Education Elementary Education Department Primary School Teacher Formal Education, Primary School Teacher Evening Education, Elementary Science Teacher Education, Pre- School Teacher Education and Elementary Science Teacher Education.The research is a survey study with screening model. As a means of data collection in this research ?Practice Teaching Sufficiency Scale Student Form " was used for data collection tool. The scale consists of 27 items and 4 sub-dimensions. These items represent practice teaching sufficiency.The purpose of this search is to research the relations between the areas of sufficiency came up for pre-school teachers? opinions and students' departments they study and their gender is considered. Pre-school teachers? participation levels in Practice Teaching sufficiency scale is questioned. Relations between sub dimensions of the mentioned scale and sub dimension means are examined.The analysis of the obtained data was carried out using the SPSS program. In data analysis, arithmetical mean, frequency and percentages are calculated according to purposes, One Way ANOVA, T-test and Tamhane Multiple Comparisons Test is applied.Pre-school teachers evaluated sufficiency of demonstrators' classroom management, guiding preperation to practice and assessment proficiencies as medium level.Pre school teachers? participation level of demonstrating do not differ in terms of gender while in department variable, Primary School Teacher Evening Education and Social Sciences Teacher Education shows a significant difference in classroom management sub dimension.Pre school teachers perceived evaluation sub dimension of Demonstrating Sufficiency Scale more sufficient than classroom management, preparation to practice, guiding and evaluation dimensions.KEY WORDS:Demonstrator, pre-service teacher, teacher practice, school experience, demonstrator proficiency, guiding
