The system of training teachers and a sample from Turkey

The importance of teacher training and the teacher training system in our country are explained in this study. According to this, the teacher training system is dealt as theoretical perspective and applications in other countries are briefly explained. Moreover, the process of teacher training during the period of Republic is studied.Having a historical background in the field of teacher training from 1848, the period that teacher training was institutionalized, to now on, our country realizes that the imported educational programmes are invalid in the field of education.The difficulties the unexperienced universities have in terms of teacher training are reflected to the system. Briefly, education is the generator of a society, even it is the brain that constructs the future. It is impossible to think positively if the society is illiterate.Key words: Teacher training system, teacher training teacher and reconstruction.
