Relationship between teacher leadership and organizational commitment according to teachers' perseptions

Abstract (EN)

The main aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between teacher leadership and organizational commitment levels according to the perceptions of teachers. Based on random sampling, a total of 650 teachers working in secondary schools and high schools in the city center and districts of Rize in the academic year of 2017-2018 were participated in this study which was designed in the relational survey model. In this research, Teacher Leadership Scale, Organizational Commitment Scale in Education Organizations and Personal Information Form were used as data collection tools. The analysis of the data was carried out with SPSS package program. Descriptive statistics, t-Test, Mann-Whitney U test, One-Way Analysis of Variance, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Simple Correlation and Simple Linear Regression Analysis were employed in the analysis. At the end of the research, it was found that there was a positive relationship between teacher leadership perceptions and organizational commitment levels. In addition, it was concluded that teachers' perceptions of teacher leadership were a significant predictor of organizational commitment.
