The factors demografhic that effect the career development of teachers

In this study of thesis; by taking demographic quality of the teachers working in primary schools into consideration, it was researched whether there were any meaningful differences between their views regarding their career developments. By means of this, it was endeavored to determine what demographic factors effected career development positively or negatively. Besides, by this research, it was endeavored to determine career process of teaching profession, problems experienced in this process and general behaviors of teachers towards heir profession.In the first part of the research, institutional framework has been created related with the career conception importance of which is increasing in business world. Importance of career has been stressed by using career definition reflecting several views. Factors affecting career choice of individual have been researched by stressing on career phases and career choice. Importance career planning in terms of individual and organization has been explained. General problems related with career have been considered at the end of first part.In the second part of the study, career development of teachers and benefits this provided for the teacher and institution were stressed by explaining definitions and adequacies of teaching profession. General career problems of teachers have been considered by providing information about the promotion system in career steps.Research has been performed by using scanning model. Teachers performing duty in government primary schools accountable to province of Istanbul, county of Küçükçekmece form the world of the research. And 8 schools selected from this county form the sampling of the study.Data collection means used has been formed of two parts. While 53 statements are included regarding career development in the first part; second part is formed of individual information. Frequency(f),percentage(p),aricmetic average, priority, t-test, single variance analysis(ANOVA9,Tukey-HSD multiple comparison test have been used in the process of analyzing gathered data for resolving problems.Key Words: Career, Career Planning, Career Development, Teachear Jop, Career Development of Teachears, The Factors Demographic
