The analize of the teachers? organizational citizenship attitudes and work values

The aim of this research is to study whether there is a significant difference or not on the aspect of the behaviors and works of primary school teachers at school, their independence in the work, physical activity, diversity of the work, friendship-fellowship relations, personal development, effect to decisions, experiencing approval and notice by other employees, their emphasis on work place, economic guarantee, helping one another, promotion and progress and the acceptance level of these points, their seniority in the job and their sexes, marital status and branches.Questionnaires, developed for comparing the organizational citizenship behaviors and study evaluations of the primary school branch teachers, were used as a data collection tool. The Questionnaire used in the research is composed of three parts. The first part includes demographic information about teachers? age, sex, length of service, and marital status; the second part includes 98 questions under eleven titles. In the third part there are 40 questions aimed at testing the organizational citizenship behaviors.The sub problems of the research consist of evaluating whether there is a difference on the organizational citizenship behaviors regarding the primary school branch teachers? working values and whether this evaluation shows a difference according to sex, length of service, branch and marital status. The answers given to the research questionnaire is tested and evaluated according to quintet likert evaluation scale. The acquired data was analyzed with the SPSS 15 packet program regarding that the teachers in the sampling group answered the questions in the questionnaire frankly. The data analyze was found by using arithmetic mean ( ), data analyze, standard deviation (SS), t-test, irreversible Variance Analyze (ANOVA) and Scheffe Satistics.There is a considerable difference among the work values average scores of teachers joining to the research. According to these results, it can be said the lengths of services are significantly important in the teachers? work values. Besides, it was obtained that the sexes and the lengths of services of the teachers had a significant effect on views about work values. There is a big difference statistically between the organizational citizenship behaviors average scores of the male and female teachers. There seems a significant variance among the organizational citizenship behaviors average scores of teachers in accordance with length of service. Taking into account these results it can be stated that organizational citizenship behaviors are affected more by the teachers? length of services. Also it was found that the teachers? sexes and length of services had a considerable and common effect on organizational citizenship behaviors.Key words: Organizational citizenship behaviors, work values, length of services in.
