Abstract (EN)
The Covid-19 Pandemic, which has affected the world and our country from 2019 to the present day, has affected many areas in the world and in our country. In this process, education was carried out remotely in our country as well as all over the world. The studies examining distance education carried out in order to ensure the continuity of education during the pandemic period have gained great importance for the pandemic process and later. Within the scope of this research, it is aimed to reveal the perceptions of teachers who provide distance education in the Covid-19 period about this education. In this study, a mixed method using quantitative and qualitative research methods was used. In the quantitative part of the study, the distance education perception scale prepared by (Gök 2011) was used. In order to explain the data obtained here, qualitative interview questions obtained as a result of the evaluation of quantitative data, were prepared. In the quantitative part of the research, 320 teachers took part. The demographic information of our teachers was collected with the questionnaire prepared by the researcher. In the quantitative research section using the distance education perception scale, the scale and subscales were analyzed with descriptive statistics. In order to explain the analyzes in more depth, qualitative data were collected by conducting face-to-face interviews with 20 teachers. According to the first finding obtained as a result of the analysis of quantitative data, it was seen that teachers' perceptions of distance education were at a medium level. The same is true for qualitative data. It has been seen that the position of the institutions they work for, their digital competence and the difficulties they face during distance education are effective in the middle level of teachers' perceptions against distance education. The results obtained from the research were explained by discussing with the literature. At the end of the research, suggestions were made for future research.
