Research on the relation between worklife quality and psychological hardiness of teachers

In this research, the relation between teacher's of psychological hardiness and work life quality has been studied. The research has been carried out in realational scanning model due to the fact that it aims to determine the presence of change between one or more variable or the status that exists. The study group of research consists of 438 teachers randomly selected from primary, secondary and high schools in Yozgat-Merkez-Sorgun-Yerköy 2018-2019 education year. 244 of the teacher (55,7%) are males and 194 of them(44,3%)are females. As a means to collect data; psychological hardiness scale, work like quality scale and personal information form have been applied. Independent Groups T –testi, variance analysis, partial correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis have been used for the data obtained from research. According to the acquired results, a meaningful relation has been found between psychological hardiness of teachers and the time spent at school. A significant difference hasn't been found in the variables of gender, branch, seniority, level of education or school types. It has also been determined in this research that total life space, safe and healthy work conditions, the improvement of wage earner capacity, social responsibility, social integration, democratic environment, appropriate and fair payment which are substeps of worklife quality have been distinctive criteria for the 13% of teachers.
