Abstract (EN)

In this research, the relation between teacher's level of psychological hardiness and motivation has been studied. The research has been carried out in relational scanning model due to the fact that it aims to determine the presence of change between one or more variable or the status that exists. The study group of research consists of 11.357 teachers working for offical primary, secondary and high schools in Erzurum city in 2018/2019 study year and easily reached 702 teachers among 5.040 teachers work in Aziziye, Palandöken and Yakutiye districts. 253 of these teacher's (36%) are males and 449 of them (64 %) are females. As a means to collect data, Psychological Hardiness Scale (PHS), Teacher Motivation Scale (TMS) and Personal İnformation Form prepared by the researcher has been applied. In order to determine whether the data is suitable for parametric and non-parametric statistic, a normal range test has applied. T test and one-sided variance analysis have been used in ANOVA to determine whether the dependent variable points of groups set according to independent variable levels about psychological hardiness and motivation are distinctively differentiated. Pearson moment correlation has been carried out to determine the relation between psychological hardiness and motivation and multiple regression analysis has been carried out to determine the correlation analysis and level of regression between two variables. According to the acquired result, physiological hardiness level of teacher has been measured as medium level. Intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation and total motivation levels resulted high. Furthermore, a significant relation has also been found in the marital status. A significant difference hasn't been found in the variables of gender, branch, seniority and level of education. In addition, according to research results teachers' intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation levels explain 25% percent of the variance in psychological hardiness.
