Collocations of adjectives in Oğuz Atay's novels

This study examines the adjective collocations, grouping them as descriptive, affective and color adjectives, in Oğuz Atay's novels titled Tutunamayanlar, Bir Bilim Adamının Romanı, Eylembilim and Tehlikeli Oyunlar. The mentioned novels were digitally transferred to create a corpus in the first place, having been cleared of spelling errors that occur during optical scanning, the text has become applicable. Then, as the analysis part reveals, the vocabulary statistics in Oğuz Atay's selected novels are collected and presented. The adjective list in the novels is created via Wordstat, based on the Turkish Dictionary of TDK. The adjective collocations are specified through the statistical methods of t-score, z-score, log likelihood, mutual ınformation, dice coefficient, mı3, and through the other software Antconc, Wordsmith, Concgram, Graphcoll and Wordstat software.
