Özet (EN)

Okçu-zâde, born in 1562, was the son of Okçu-zâde Mehmet Pasha. He had a good madrasah education. Initially, ''Zeyni'' was the pseudonym of Okçu-zâde, but he preferred to write under the pseudonym of ''Şahi'' afterwards. He is one of the important prose-writers who served in official duties such as the Nişanci, or the Sultan's sealer and the Baştezkireci, the first secretary to the Grand Vizier in the Ottoman Empire. In Classical Turkish Literature, man y prose works were also written during the periods when poetic works were at the forefront. This tradition, which existed from the 16th century when ''Münşeât'' texts became widespread to the Tanzimat Period, is an indication that the prose was as popular as the poet. In these centuries, tens of Münşeât were written in classical Turkish literature - as stated in our study. Muhammed Şahi Okçu-zâde was one of the most important prose-writers of that period. ''Münşeât-ı Okçu-zâde'', which is thought to be his original manuscript, was examined in this study. It is registered in the Süleymaniye Manuscript Library with the number 3495 in the donated manuscripts section. The letters in the manuscript were examined in general terms in terms of language and style. The types of letters and whom they were written to were also mentioned in our review. In addition, the work has been transcribed according to the translation writing system and names index has been created.
