Özet (EN)
In this study, it has been made a comparison between healthy individuals and the patients diagnosed as prediabetes and not treated yet by measuring the levels of AOPP, AGEs, and adiponectin. Influences of the factors of age, gender, index of kuatelet, Homa-IR, CIMT, and biochemical parameters upon measured parameters; AOPP, Total AGEs, and adiponectin, have been evaluated in prediabetic patients. AOPP and Total AGEs levels of total patient groups have been found significantly high (p<0.05, p<0.05), while adiponectin levels have been found significantly lower than the control group (p<0.05). Total patient groups have been divided into three: the groups of patients of Impaired Fasting Glucose, of Impaired Glucose Tolerance, and of Complex Prediabetes. Whereas AOPP and Total AGEs have been found significantly higher in IFG patients compared to the control group (p<0.05, p<0.05), adiponectin level has been found lower (p<0.05). In IGT patients AOPP level has been found significantly higher compared with the control group while adiponectin level has been found significantly lower (respectively; p<0.05, p<0.05). Total AGEs has not been found meaningful (p>0.05). AOPP has been found significantly high according to the control group in Complex Prediabetics, nevertheless, adiponectin has been found significantly low (respectively; p<0.05, p<0.05). In terms of Total AGEs level, there is no significant difference (p>0.05). In the evaluations considering parameters measured among the groups of patients, Adiponectin levels are in the highest levels in IFG group and in the lowest levels in Complex Prediabetics. Total AGEs level has been ascertained in the highest level in IFG group and in the lowest level in IGT group. In total patient groups, it has been noted that there is a positive correlation between AOPP level and LDL-cholesterol level (r=0.185, p<0.05). Whereas it has been noticed that there is a positive correlation between adiponectin level and HDL-cholesterol level, there is a negative correlation among the levels of VKI, hsCRP, Homa-IR, HbA1c, trigliserid, CIMT left mean (respectively, r= 0.182 p<0.05; r= -0.252 p<0.01; r= -0.204 p<0.05; r= -0.210 p<0.01; r= -0.268 p<0.01; r= -0.180 p<0.05; r= -0.218 p<0.01). Key words: AOPP, Total AGEs, Adiponectin, prediabetes, oxidative stress, IFG, IGT, antioxidant.
