Effect of hesperetin and ellagic asit on some biochemical parameters of rats induced oxidative stress

Abstract (EN)
In this research, we investigated the protective effects of gavaj-administrated Ellagic acid and Hesperetin on the level of MDA, cholestorol, enzymes (catalase, glutathione peroxidase), GSH, vitamin E and fatty acids in rat serum, brain, and liver with oxidative stress that was induced by H2O2 and AlCl3. For this aim, the Ellagic acid, Hesperetin and their combination groups were used. According to experimental results, the MDA content in the groups of H2O2 and AlCl3 increased when compared to the control group (p<0.001). By the effects of Ellagic acid, the MDA levels in the Ellagic acid+H2O2 and Ellagic acid+AlCl3 groups decreased when compared to the H2O2 and AlCl3 groups (p<0.001). The catalase activities of all groups increased when compared the control group (p<0.001). In the brain tussue, the GSH level of H2O2 and AlCl3 groups increased when compared the control group (p<0.001). In the serum, GSH-Px level all groups increased when compared the control group (p<0.001). In the serum, while LDL levels of the Ellagic acid and Hesperetin groups decreased (p<0.05, p<0.01), the levels increased in H2O2 and AlCl3 groups when compared the control group (p<0.05, p<0.001). By the effects of Hesperetin, the LDL levels of the AlCl3+Hesperetin group decreased when compared the AlCl3 group (p<0.001). In the brain tissue, the cholestorol levels of H2O2 and AlCl3 groups observed highest value when compared the control group (p<0.001). By the effects of Hesperetin, In the brain tussue, the cholestorol levels of H2O2+Hesperetin group observed lower than control group (p<0.05). In the brain and liver tussues, the vitamin E levels of Ellagic acid and Hesperetin groups increased when compared the control group (p<0.001). In the liver tussue, the palmitic acid (16:0) levels of H2O2 and AlCl3 groups increased when compared the control group (p<0.05, p<0.001). The palmitoleic acid (16:1 n-7) levels of H2O2 and AlCl3 groups decreased when compared the control group (p<0.001). The total saturated (?SFA) fatty acid levels of AlCl3, AlCl3+Ellagic acid, Ellagic acid+H2O2, AlCl3+Hesperetin, H2O2+Hesperetin groups increased when compared the control group (p<0.05, p<0.01). The polyunsaturated (PUFA) fatty acid level of AlCl3 group decreased when compared the control group (p<0.001). The W6 levels of all groups increased when compared the control group. In the brain tussue, there was not different observed between the all group?s total unsaturated (?USFA) and ?SFA fatty acid levels (p>0,05). In the serum, the stearic acid (18:0) level of all groups decreased when compared the control group. The MUFA level of Ellagic acid group decreased when compared the control group (p<0.001). According to our experimental results, it was determined that effect of Hesperetin and Ellagic Asit, serum, liver and brain tissues on some many biochemical parameters were for administeral dose and time.
