The relationship between emotional intelligence of school principals and organizational trust of teachers

The aim of this work is to study the relationship between the emotional intelligence of school principals and the organizational trust of teachers. The research sample consists of 251 teachers working at secondary schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of Turkey in Ordu province in the academic year of 2021-2022. This research was conducted in a correlation survey model. Data analysis was performed by using unpaired t-test, ANOVA test, correlation analysis and regression analysis. Data were collected by using a personal information form, ''Rotterdam Emotional İntelligence Scale'' and ''Organizational Trust Scale''. The results show that there is a significant positive relationship between the emotional intelligence of school principals and the organizational trust of teachers. In addition, the emotional intelligence of school principals predicts the organizational trust of teachers, based on the opinion of the teachers.
