Job satisfaction levels of school principals

The aim of this study to is to determine the job satisfaction level of the school principals. In this research survey method is used. The study was held at all primary schools and high schools? principals located at Büyükçekmece, Eminönü and Besiktas district of ?stanbul. The questionnaire was applied for collecting the datums. To analyse the datums, techniques of percentage, arithmetic average, standart deviation, variance analyse were used. This research consists of five chapters. In the first chapter problem sentence, objectives, the importance of the research, assumptions, limitations and definitions are indicated. In the second chapter theoretical knowledges about motivation and job satisfaction and also researchs about motivation and job satisfaction are stated. In the third chapter, the model of the research, universe, population group, data collection, evaluation and interpretation are indicated. In the fourth chapter, conclusions the finding of research are given as tables and necessary interpretations are defined. In the fifth section conclusions and proposals are placed. Important findings of the research are as follows: The job satisfaction levels of school principals is X = 2,76. Perceptions of school principals show that there is not a significant difference among variables; sex, age, experience in job, level of Education, experience in administration and number of inservice training they have joined. There is a significant relationship about variable of to get an examination about management. The importance level of job satisfaction of school principals is X =3,55. There is a significant difference between level of job satisfaction and the importance level of job satisfaction of school principals. KEY WORDS : School Principals, Job Satısfactıon Levels
