Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to present a step-by-step example of a teaching plan and repertoire for the Turkish folk melodies used in the school music education from 1st to 8th grades in accordance with the Kodály method. In this descriptive survey research, document analysis was performed to collect data related to Kodály Method. The processing steps of Kodály Method applied in the lesson were analyzed and our country was associated with the folk tunes detected in school music education. As a result of the analyzes, the opinions of the professional field educators regarding the educational materials were utilized. After obtaining the data about the Kodály Method, the melodic and rhythmic elements of the 46 Turkish Folk Melodies used in school music education were listed in order to associate the melodic and rhythmic elements with the Kodály Method, taking into account the principles of 'from simple to complex', 'from known to unknown'. The folk melodies listed are at the end of the research in the form of a repertoire as an output of education. A teaching plan was prepared for a folk melodies selected from this repertoire within the framework of the lesson plans prepared by adapting the method abroad by using the educational tools used by Kodály Method in music teaching. The relationship between the educational activities in the plan and the gains in the music education program of the Ministry of Education was tried to be determined. The professional field educators regarding the teaching plan and the repertoire proposal that can be accepted as the educational results of the research, generally expressed positive opinion and stated that the prepared materials could be used for school music education.
