Abstract (EN)

The research aims to examine the effect of creative drama activities on problem solving skills in preschool children. The structure of the study consists of two groups as a quasi-experimental design and the comparison of the pre-test and post-test. The study group of the research consists of a total of 80 students, 40 in the experimental group and 40 in the control group, who attend two different kindergartens in Istanbul province Küçükçekmece in the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Five creative drama activities were designed by the researcher. The Wally Social Problem Solving Test (WSPPT) was administered to the experimental and control groups as a pre-test. Students in the experimental group were allowed to participate in creative drama activities developed for a week. WSPPT was applied again as a post-test to the experimental group participating in creative drama activities and the control group not participating in any activity. In the study, it was concluded that the creative drama activity increased the student's problem solving skills.
