Abstract (EN)

Pre-school education in Turkey developed considerably especially after the years of 1960s. In recent years , pilot region application has been put into practice to pass compulsary education. This condition appears as a process which reflects society?s alternating expectations and social change which is the result of urbanization and globalization. Parents take place together in economic life either in rural area or in city atmosphere thus parents turn towards pre-school education institutions to provide their children with nursing and qualified education. Moreover the increase in the importance that is given to the early childhood changes the existing dimension of the process.In this study, education programs implemented in pre-school education institutions have been evaluated. Safeguarding intangible cultural heritage and it?s transmitting to next generations have been examined within the frame work of The Convention for Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. It have been seen that activities which have been implemented in pre-school education is very significant within the connect of intangible cultural heritage.Pre-school education programs can be investigated in tems of transmitting intengible cultural heritage. In this regard this thesis is a the first study on culture with regard to foklore.Key Words: Pre-school education, Pre-school education programmes, cultural heritage and cultural transmitting.
