The aim of research is to determine the degree of the participation of fathers whose children attend the preschool institution and the factors that affect the degree of the participation.The survey that is prepared in accordance with this aim is applied to 346 fathers whose children go on 19 official preschool institution that display activity in Istanbul in Ataşehir and Kadıköy in 2008-2009 Academic Year.The results of survey are analysed in computer environment by using package programme called SPSS.Alpha Coefficient (Coranbach Alfa) is used to test the reliability of survey ,frequency and percent descriptive statistics are used to determine the demographical characteristics of subject according to distribution and the demographical characteristics of father and mother ,the effects of fathers? participation to education of their children are tested by using t-test and variance analysis methods.As a result of the research while there is not found a meaningful relation between the degree of fathers? participation and their ages their marital status and their occupations in education of children who go preschool institution , it is accessed meaningful results between other variables and the degree of the fathers? participation statistically.Research results are presented in findings episode in the from of tables and diagrams.Key Words: Participation of Father , Participation of Family , Preschool Education
