Abstract (EN)
This research is a structured descriptive study aimed at reducing stress and problem solving for children participating in school sports. The study also examined children's assessments of demographic variables. The study was applied on a voluntary basis to secondary education programs working in Hatay province and participating in school sports in the 2021-2022 academic year. 160 students voluntarily participated in the study. In order to collect data in the research, "Personal Information Form", Problem Solving Inventory (PCI) adapted to Turkish by Şahin, Şahin and Heppner (1993), and "Stress Level Test" used by Kat (2009) were used. SPSS 22.0 program was used for the analysis of the data. In conclusion; While it was seen that women got higher scores in the total scores of problem solving clients, women got high scores in their safe approach to sub-dimensions and their planned approach, while there was no gender perspective in the perceived stress level. It did not reflect any variable in insufficient self-efficacy and stress perception scores and problem solving skills in terms of branch, sports year, parent education, number of siblings. Those who study at qualified high schools and those with high academic achievement have a higher perception of stress/discomfort. While no relationship was observed between age and the scores obtained from the scales, he was exposed to symptoms of insufficient self-efficacy perception, and results were obtained regarding the symptoms of problem solving limits by limiting the perception of stress and insufficient self-efficacy scores.
