Teacher perceptions regarding the roles of school heads

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine teachers' perceptions regarding the roles of school administrators and to determine teachers' perceptions of the roles of school administrators. To express their opinions according to the variables of gender, age, professional seniority, educational status, number of teachers in the school, number of students in the school. As research models, descriptive survey method and quantitative research method were used. The research population consists of classroom teachers working in public primary schools in Sakarya Central district in the 2022-2023 academic year. The study population consisted of 475 teachers. Personal information form and the School Administrative Roles Scale, which was adapted into Turkish by Tok and Doğan (2019), were used as data collection tools in the study. It was determined that the research data showed a normal distribution and percentage, One-Way Independent ANOVA Analysis and Independent Sample T-Tests were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the perception levels of teachers regarding the roles of school administrators did not differ significantly according to the variables of gender, educational status, and professional seniority, while the perception levels of teachers regarding the roles of school administrators showed significant differences according to the variables of age, number of teachers in the school, number of students in the school.
